The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Operating Procedure Writer will have responsibility:

•Work with the operations representative to ensure compliance with the agreed writing template, style, writing guidelines and project specific guidelines and schedules.
•Gather information necessary to complete the writing assignment.
•Collect, review and interpret data from information sources, including process and instrumentation diagrams, vendor information, process control descriptions, and existing documentation from the project team.
•Select the relevant data from the reference material to write the project contents.
•Interview the client or subject matter experts to obtain information.
•Recognise deficiencies or discrepancies and clarify information. This may require correspondence with project team, vendor or subject matter expert.
•Organize material for ease of understanding.
•Re-purpose the material into the required template at the required reading level.
•Present the material accurately, concisely, and within allotted scope details.
•Implement edits from subject matter experts, outlined in the approved workflow.
•Communicate concepts and ideas to other team members. Act as a technical resource to other members of the team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Operating Procedure Writer will previous experience:

• Experience in document writing – in particular procedures and standard operating systems in a Project start up environment.
• Onshore experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Experience with Smart Procedures tool
• 5 years previous experience writing operating procedures
• Ability to read technical documents and electrical and mechanical engineering drawing
