The Role:
Residential in Atyrau, Kazakhstan with frequent visits to onshore and offshore facilities as required.

Purpose:
The Operational Safety Team Lead provides Technical Authority guidance for Operational Safety within the Integrated Production operations Organization. The Operational Safety Team Lead provides leadership in developing the company culture to improve the management of HSE and Process Safety risks. Executing the role will involve:-
• Developing and updating of the HSE-MS as it applies to IPO activities,
• Providing guidance to the company on HSE with emphasis in Process Safety issues, like PTW, breaking containment, LOTO management, SIMOPs, Job Hazard analysis (JHA), confined space entry, working in hazardous areas & high H2S environment and Pressure, etc.
• Monitoring/assurance of Line Management awareness and adherence to Policies, Systems, Procedures and Standards and their implementation.
• Continuous development of a positive HSE Culture, particularly Operational Process Safety .
• Providing technical expertise regards both Personal & Process Safety as requested and agreed with Line Managers.
• Leadership and professional development of Junior staff.
• Ensure compliance with RoK Safety Legislation. Support and deputise for the IPO head of HSE when required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Health and Safety Management, preferably with an engineering background and recognised membership of professional bodies;
• At least 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry with considerable E&P experience in hazardous process Plant Management; Preferably with hands on line responsibilities in operational role as well as in commissioning and start up
• 5 years in HSE within a supervisory role.
• Knowledge on Process Safety management including Major Accident Hazard (MAH) management, translating Bowtie diagrams into implemented barriers.
• Knowledge on Personal Safety management in Hazardous Process Plants like PPE, Working at height, working under suspending load, dropping objects, excavation activities, lifting plans, working at the edge of water front. Radiation,
• Knowledge on Technical HSE management in Hazardous Process Plants like Technical Safety Standards and Practices.
