The Role:
The role will be based offshore on a 28/28 rotation until December 2015, at which point there may be an opportunity for onshore based work followed by a return offshore after 6 to 12 months.

JOB PURPOSE
Carry out repairs to critical and non critical breakdowns on instrument equipment, assist with planned maintenance and small construction tasks. Ensure that all tasks are carried out cleanly, safely, efficiently and in accordance with the platform's safe system of work.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Planning
Agree work schedule with Maintenance Team Leader from review of planned maintenance work scheduling and reported breakdowns; prepare quality permit applications in accordance with the agreed plan and platform priorities.
Work Site Activity
Execute daily work schedules, taking work site decisions so as to achieve a high standard of work and to minimise impact on platform performance targets. Carry out work in a safe, efficient and diligent manner in accordance with platform procedures and accepted industry practice and, on completion, return work site to a safe and clean condition.
Provide quality technical advice and support to Maintenance and Production Team Leaders
Personal/Team Performance Measurement and Improvement
Assess and seek ways of improving personal performance and participate in regular performance reviews with supervisor. Maintain own skills and demonstrate personal competence in line with platform and industry guidelines (technical and HSE). Highlight training needs and statutory course requirements when necessary.
Assist and coach colleagues in own and other disciplines.
Enhance platform performance (commercial, technical and HSE) by identifying and communicating ideas for continuous improvement.
Communication and Information
Provide quality information concerning aspects of work to relevant supervisor and colleagues including those who may not have core skills in own discipline. Communication and co-operation with all other offshore and onshore technical, managerial and training functions, including vendors and contractors.
Active participation in safety briefings and toolbox talks.
Emergency Response
Perform Emergency Response duties as defined in the ERP and company standards.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
An extensive knowledge of platform safety and emergency shutdown systems and instrumentation control systems including: pneumatic, electrical, electronic and hydraulic.
Comprehensive knowledge of distributed control systems and Fiscal metering.
Good knowledge and appreciation of interaction between control and process systems.
Knowledge of platform process systems
