The Role:
Please note this position for Kazakhstan's citizens.

The Operations Coordinator will be integrated in team comprising the plant engineering and construction group, commissioning group and company operations representatives. Pre-start-up activities shall include:

 Gain familiarity with the plant design and process and operations philosophies.
 Assist in collecting data required for the development of various operations procedures and check lists.
 Assist in the development training materials as required ensuring safe startup of plant.
 Assist in identifying and ordering signs required before the start-up.

2. After start up:
The Operations Coordinator will work under direct supervision and guidance of Operations Supervisor in order to oversee the safe and reliable operation of the plant while mentoring operators.

Essential Functions:
 Follow-up, organize, schedules and participates in the daily activities
 Responsible for insuring that the plant meets all process control targets in the various treatment systems and odor control systems.
 Implements policies and procedures for process monitoring and control.
 Follow up the collection of plant process samples.
 Follow up the adjustment of process systems, operations and equipment.
 Responsible for the overall safe, efficient, and effective operation of the plant on assigned shift.
 Responsible for shift effectiveness, efficiency, and maintenance while maintaining standards and procedures.
 Evaluates equipment performance and corrects deficiencies.
 Trains operations staff in the performance of their duties.
 Schedules daily work assignments and standby schedules.
 Evaluates performance of personnel, inspects work for completeness, help investigate on the job accidents.
 Participates in necessary work and fills in for operators during scheduled and unscheduled leave periods.
 Performs hands on demonstrations of how the work is to be accomplished.
 Coordinates plant operations with the maintenance staff to maximize the effective use of equipment and personnel.
 Develops and maintains records such as chemical usage, plant flows, operations equipment and process checklists, diaries, logbooks and laboratory records.
 Coordinates with plant supervisor the preparation for proposals and specifications for purchases of major items; along with requisitions of supplies and materials needed for effective department operation.
 Order chemicals, supplies and equipment as needed to insure the on going operation of the plant.
 Coordinates safe storage of supplies and maintains inventory controls.
 Coordinates operations with various manufacturers and suppliers to insure efficient operation.
 Investigates new equipment and processes and start-up of new equipment.
 Develops and revises operating procedures as needed to safely operate plant.

Qualifications and Skills
1. Knowledge of computer operations, including word processing, data manager, spread sheet, and specific programs related to plant operations. Welling to have the knowledge of the principles, practices, materials and procedures related to the operation of a plant.

2. Knowledge of the health and safety hazards/precautions connected with operations.

3. Ability to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks.

4. Ability to move throughout multi-levels of plant using stairs and/or ladders.

5. Ability to climb ladders, sufficient mobility to perform duties in small spaces by crouching, stooping or kneeling, and physical ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength and finger dexterity.

6. Ability to manage staff issues including scheduling, leave requests, and performance reviews.

7. Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.

8. Ability to analyse and act on a variety of data and instrument readings, and respond quickly to plant operations problems.

9. Ability to accurately log instrument readings and operating information.

10. Ability to perform a variety of basic plant maintenance tasks.

11. Ability to coordinate activities with other lead staff to cooperatively accomplish tasks.

12. Ability to resolve problems at the lowest possible organizational level.

13. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, subordinates, contractors, engineers, property owners, and the general public and the ability to secure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and standards in a tactful yet effective manner.

14. Ability to be able to communicate in English.
