The Role:
To support operations planning for the Electrical Engineering management team, specifically regarding Cost centre and Capital Expenditure planning. Ensuring the correct Tools and IT are available to support the working of the Department.

The Operations Coordinator reports to the Integration Manager – Electrical Engineering. The OC works closely with the HoD and management team of Electrical engineering to ensure that the
The Operations Coordinator will also work closely with the following:
 EE Operations Coordinator - Project finance & capacity planning
 Engineering Finance - Agree budget and forecast status
 Engineering Business Manager - Review and agree Capital Expenditure budget
 Electrical Engineering team - Provide support for new tools requests
 MIS - Focal point for IT updates/maintenance

1. Cost Centre Budget Management
2. Capital Expenditure management
3. IT Support
4. Workshop tools
5. Engineering tools management
6. Facilities support

Raise CAPEX and Cost Centre orders on behalf of Department.
Authorise invoices as in line with business policy

Cost Centre Budget Management
a. Plan Department’s Cost Centre budget requirements. Submit and agree annual budgets with finance team
b. Analyse actual cost centre spend vs agreed budget
c. Produce monthly Cost Centre reports for use by Electrical management team
d. Raise and monitor orders for expenditure on Cost Centre codes

Capital Expenditure management
a. Develop and manage process for approval of Capital Expenditure within the Electrical Engineering department
b. Collate annual Capital expenditure requirements on behalf of department. Review, agree and submit requirements to Finance/Whole Vehicle Engineering.
c. Monitor actual Capital expenditure for both site and project capital, and compare spend versus budget.
d. Produce monthly Capital Expenditure reports for use by Electrical management team
e. Raise and monitor orders for Capital Expenditure items
f. Ensure that Capital assets are correctly

IT Support
a. Plan and monitor IT Requirements for EE Department
b. Support maintenance of EE IT Equipment
c. Maintain IT Equipment database
d. Support IT upgrade program roll-out
e. Plan and monitor Mobex requirements for department

Workshop tools
a. Support Maintenance requirements for Electrical Integration Centre tools.
b. Ensure Electrical Engineering Department tools are routinely calibrated.

Engineering Tools management
a. Plan requirements for Electrical Engineering Tools, including CANoe, VAS, Matlab
b. Ensure that appropriate maintenance agreements are in place for engineering tools
c. Facilitate tools training using external suppliers as appropriate

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Appropriate financial or business management qualification.
Qualified to a minimum of HND in engineering or a related subject.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
German language knowledge would be advantageous.
