The Company:
Our client is one of the largest oil & gas operating companies in the World. They currently require an Operations Engineer to join their ever expanding technical team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and progress with a company who look to promote from within.

The Role:
The main purpose of the Operations Engineer will be to generate a pipeline of technical resources for future use in line with the company’s future needs. Within this role, typical responsibilities will include;

• Interfacing between operations and engineering in support of the annual work plan.
• Liaise with and provide support to other teams with activities within the field.
• Organise the operations team in reviewing risk assessments in relation to inspections and deviations from operating standards.
• Carry out audit and assurance visits.
• Undertaking ad hoc special projects.

There are significant opportunities to progress within this role and the company are prepared to map out a development/progression plan for the right person over the next 18 months.

To be suitable for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria;

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical Engineering Degree preferably)
• 3 to 5 years experience within Oil & Gas.
• Downstream Oil & Gas experience (Refinery or dealing with hazardous materials is an advantage).
• Experience of working with Aviation fuel/fuelling equipment is advantageous.
• Experience of operational safety and risk management.
• Right to work within the UK without sponsorship.
