The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The main responsibilities for the Operations Engineer:

•Develop & execute modifications to existing upstream facilities as required by operations
•Manage procurement for small projects (QAQC, specs, etc)
•Follow Project Management System and MOC processes for facility alternative analysis, design, execution, and close-out
•Optimize the operating facilities (separators, compressors, dehydrators, gathering systems) by analyzing data and recommending changes while working closely with operations and petroleum engineering
•Run economic analysis on opportunities as required
•Initiate and develop ideas to save costs (power, fuel gas, etc) and increase production (oil, gas) and reliability
•Show HES leadership in all phases of work
•Utilize engineering and construction contractors and work with third parties as needed to achieve goals
•Perform other process technical duties or special projects as assigned.

•Production operators

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Operations Engineer should have previous experience:

•Minimum 7 years of experience in Oil & Gas Processing Facilities and Operations Support
•Previous for operator experience.
•Must be an active member of APEGA or equivalent provincial engineering association. Must demonstrate knowledge of applicable/appropriate Codes and Standards.
•Demonstrated commitment to behavioral based safety programs and ensuring incident and injury free working conditions
•Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills, articulate and relatable. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with global, multi-disciplinary teams
•Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing work priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work with multiple deadlines under minimal supervision
•Demonstrates pro-active, collaborative approach with ability to build positive relationships within department and organization.
