The Company:
We are currently recruiting for a Operations Engineer to provide 11kv SAP skills to manage high voltage and low voltage electrical maintenance and construction projects on private and distribution networks, in accordance with safe working practices, specification, budget and programme

The Role:
Principal accountabilities include:-
• Provide technical/operational guidance and leadership to a team of engineering, craft, business support staff and contractors
• To ensure the safe and efficient maintenance and construction of all allocated projects. This includes the day-to-day management of site relationships and issues ensuring Customer expectations are met
• Ensuring that all work carried out is in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, company codes of practice and full compliance with Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations
• Ensuring that all operations staff have correct skills, competencies and authorisations to carry out work on allocated projects
• To ensure direct project costs and programme are controlled and progress reports provided to Operations/Commercial Manager
• To ensure contractor payment approvals to third party contractors are dealt with in a timely manner
• Ensure the provision of ‘best in class’ service delivery and customer satisfaction to help secure additional / repeat business

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Have a minimum qualification of a HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Demonstrate high levels of engineering experience and knowledge
• Hold an electrical authorisation to LV/Senior Authorised Person including field control and faults
• Have extensive project management and contract management skills
• Be computer literate, with good analytical reasoning
• Be familiar with electrical engineering design and practices with a thorough knowledge of the legal, technical, safety and CDM regulations that affect the electricity business
• Be well organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be able to demonstrate strong influencing and negotiating skills for dealing with contractors and external customers
