The Company:
An Oil and Gas Operator

The Role:
This position plays a very important role in helping the Operaor in Gabon to achieve its business objectives.
The main purpose of the position is to:
- Plan, lead and manage the operated production activities of the Operator, ensuring the company’s delivery of its plan in terms of HSSE, production and operating costs.
- Additionally, the job manages all Operator in Gabonese Production Chemistry services.

Member of the Operator Gabonese Extended Leadership Team
Direct Reports to 4 people:
- Operations Support (Production Planning and Programming, Maintenance Integrity);
- Fields Superintendent (Operations Execution);
- Production Chemistry;
- Administrative Assistant

Principal Accountabilities
- Conduct all activities in a safe manner
- Execute Staff Competency Improvement Plan
- Deliver annual production targets
- Optimise expenditures and stay within the agreed/approved allocated OPEX
- Asset Integrity Process Safety Management implementation/coordination
- Emergency Response Plan
- Comapny Security execution
- Plan and coordinate the short and medium term optimisation and rationalisation of the Operations activities (Integrated Activity Planning);
- Provide Operational input into opportunities / projects;
- Provide Operational input into improvement projects (TRCP. TBEP, Well Head Control Panels, ARP, etc)
- Implement/enhance operational aspects of HSE Cases and HSE plan

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years in operations production and maintenance;
HSE competences as defined for Senior leader;
Skilled in production and maintenance optimisation;
Asset management knowledge;
Leadership capabilities and operations management experience;
Capable and motivated to develop locals
Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
Proven ability to negotiate and able to balance listening and advocacy skills when engaging senior leadership and external regulators and stakeholders;
Very good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to coach, mentor and being bilingual (especially French and English) is a definite advantage;
