The Role:
The purpose of this role is to provide specialist marine assurance advise to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey Offshore operations and projects including Terminal Operations.
The Operations Marine authority has delegated authority to set local and International marine requirements in accordance with Industry/Company standards and practices and to provide assurance of compliance with these requirements and practices.
The Ops MA will liaise closely with the relevant internal and external stakeholders concerning vessel/unit suitability, movements and operational requirements providing marine expertise and being a focal point for all shipping operations including reviewing performance and improving operational procedures.
In addition the role will provide deep functional marine operational expertise to the line with implementation and self – verification of marine and supporting marine practices.

Ensure that processes and systems are in place for identifying and managing marine risk. Delegated accountable for the controlled application of the clients Recommended Practices.
Vessel Owner Assessments - scheduling and Action tracking to closure, Delegated Authority for deciding whether a marine vessel/unit is suitable and acceptable for use within the Region, including those marine vessels/units employed by a contractor to provide marine services to our client , such as under a ‘turn-key’ contract.
Communication of potential marine issues to the Regional Marine Authority before they impact business performance.
Approach problem solving from a risk mitigation perspective ensuring that processes and decisions result in the overall reduction of risk associated with the Region’s marine activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Auditor experience - ISM, Owner Assessment, OVID/CMID
Knowledge of IMCA/CMID and OCIMF/OVID processes and procedures
Experience in auditing and assessments of marine operations and contractors
Knowledge of risk assessment techniques
DP experience and/or warranty surveying
Approver of MoC Marine processes and Risk Assessments associated with the marine activities of the Region.Verify that the chartering/contracting all of marine vessels/units are done in accordance with the appropriate charter party clauses detailed within the relevant Practice.Ensure systems and processes exist for the inspection and vetting of marine vessels/units utilised by the RegionDegree in Marine Operations OR Sailed in a senior rank afloat OR
Has significant experience in an area of marine vessel inspection, marine vessel operation, naval architecture or marine warranty of vessel types which specifically support oil & gas exploration, development or production either through recognized civilian firms or
