The Company:
Major Oil & Gas Client in Houston, Texas

The Role:
Basic Function:
Assist current project teams in the early phases of development to assess and select concepts that are feasible and can be delivered in full life cycle.

Responsible for:
•Preparation of Operations Readiness Management Plans
•Advice on M&I processes and systems
•Produce M&I strategies and philosophies
•Advice on CMMS development
•Operations Assessment workshops facilitation
•Liaison with project team members to establish OR requirements.
•Bringing lessons learned to projects
•Ensuring operations contribute to project HSSE and in particular contribute to Process Safety Management.
•Prepare Operations Philosophies and Strategies
•Assisting with project interfaces to improve understanding of what needs to be done to ensure successful projects.

Accountable for:
•Clear assessments of projects for Operations Readiness
•Delivery of project OR requirements including M&I.
•Representing OR in meetings
•Establishing relationships with project staff
•Establishing relationships with other OR staff
•Assisting with OR training requirements

•Engage with project personnel and teams at early phases of project development to develop operations assessments and costs.
•Attend and contribute to project meetings as required.
•Attend Risk / Schedule / Design / HAZIDs / HAZOPS meetings as required
•Analyse equipment and process data from drawings and produce organization level assessments for the business. Deliver M&I requirements to projects.
•Build organization plans for both OR and for the eventual Operating Entity.
•Assist in building an improved Front End delivery for the Operations Readiness Organization
•Ensure timely completion of assigned OR deliverables

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Preferred 4 year degree in an engineering discipline
•Preferred operational experience within a Major Oil Company
•Preferred 5 years project experience within a Major Oil Company
•Preferred experience in Operations Readiness
•Ability to produce reports
•A working knowledge of the oil and gas industry
