The Role:
The Operations Readiness and Start-Up Team Leader is a key member of both the Operations team and the Brownfield Project team, and accountable to the OIM in ensuring safe, efficient and effective delivery and handover of the Brownfield project scopes to Operations.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the effective delivery and handover of the Brownfield project workscopes to Operations. The Operations Readiness and Start-Up Team Leader is a senior Operations person from the existing offshore organisation, and will provide an important link with Operations throughout the project construction, hook-up, commissioning and subsequent handover & start-up phases of the Brownfield workscope. The position will be initially onshore based with the Brownfield project team, undertaking offshore trips as dictated by the scope. Later in the project delivery cycle the position will change to an offshore rotation of 2 on 2 off on the platform / ProSafe Regalia Flotel.

Duties include but not limited to the following:
• Provide input into the development of control of work strategy in preparation for flotel arrival;
• Act as focal point with the OIM to ensure operational interfaces are robust in preparation for flotel arrival;
• Provide offshore operational expertise and management to the Project teams during the Brownfield flotel campaign;
• Provide pre-authorisation review of project WCC’s ensuring adequate Risk Assessment and Project AA preparation ahead of OIM authorisation (working with the Project Area Authority;
• Full involvement in the management of SIMOP’s during project scopes;
• Facilitate delivery of Brownfield commissioning, start-up and subsequent verification of operations procedures;
• Responsible for Operations input and checks required during handover from Commissioning. Acceptance of systems and equipment as Ready For Start-Up (RFSU) prior to formal handover acceptance from the OIM;
• Provide input and expertise to project work planning, including WCC’s and Risk Assessments.
• Provide input and lead as appropriate Toolbox Talks.
• Acts as system expert for the Brownfield Project; coaches ISSOW best practice.
• Participate in and lead as required, Level 2 Risk Assessments where appropriate.
• Assess criticality of ad-hoc requests for WCC’s.
• Participate in the WCC planning meeting chaired by the platform OIM.
• Undertake ISSOW audits and provide relevant feedback to platform OIM & PIM.
• Ensure adequate handovers take place at crew change periods with the oncoming Operations Readiness Team Leader (when the position moves to a fulltime rota position).
• Carry out PA competency assessments in preparation for platform OIM & HSEA approval.
• Maintain close communication with MAR Operations Readiness & Assurance Manager;

Experience & Technical Qualifications:
• SMTD at Supervisor level.
• Fully conversant with Safety Management System
• Working knowledge of PFEER, RIDDOR and MAR Legislation
• Incident reporting & investigation.
• Root Cause Analysis (Taproot)
• iCare
• ISSOW Level 2 (Sentinel Pro)
• OPITO Control of Work (PA & AA level)
• Supervisory experience in offshore Oil and Gas Operations
• Safety Leadership
• Extensive knowledge and experience of Oil and Gas Safe Systems of Work

Candidate Profile:
• Extensive experience working in an offshore Operations environment; specific experience an advantage;
• Team player with excellent organisation and management skills
• Proactive approach to safety
• Integrity & honest communication
• Professional & capable of integrating successfully with other key interfacing groups.
