Rosetta Resources is an independent oil and gas company based in Houston, Texas engaged in the exploration, development and exploitation of onshore energy resources in the United States of America. Our largest producing area is located in the Eagle Ford shale in South Texas and we hold a large exploratory position in the Southern Alberta Basin in northwest Montana.

The Role:
Job Title: Operations Services Manager
Location: Houston, TX

Job Description: The Operations Services Manager will maintain a sound knowledge of petroleum production operations as it relates to volume allocation requirements to meet both internal and external reporting specifications, including creation of monthly estimated and actual volume management reports, reconciliation of production to sales volumes, generation and submittal of production regulatory reports to applicable governmental agencies and other interested parties. Knowledgeable of new well set-ups and manual data capture processes in TOW software system. Maintain effective working relationship and coordinate closely with department staff to ensure data needed to perform accurate volume allocations is available and issues are resolved in a timely manner. Maintain a working knowledge of relevant system functionality, coordinate user training and liaise with IT to ensure maximized system utilization. Manage and mentor production services staff in the areas of net sales three-stream reporting, residue and NGL factor/yield calculations. Proficient in the revenue accrual process to include adjustments for large imbalances and nominations where applicable.

To serve as a functional manager over the Operations Services group which currently consists of a supervisor and analysts. This group is responsible for the daily production volume accounting system and processes. The manager will oversee annual budgeting and tracking of department G&A and handle department personnel responsibilities. The manager will also be responsible for interface and data management as needed for other operations functional groups.
Key Responsibilities:
 Regular interface with field personnel is critical to keep up with fuel usage, volume logistics in the field, field schematics and to make sure the system is running consistent with the setup in the field. Internal and external reporting of production and sales as needed to various consumers of this information.
 Work with Regulatory group for monthly production reporting.
 Work closely with the Marketing group in order to understand contract arrangements and gathering/processing agreements in order to maintain consistency with system tracking of volumes.
 Work closely with the Accounting group to ensure monthly volume accrual feedback loop is in place and working. Develop weekly volume reporting for WAR report including analyzing variances and reporting ups and downs from period to period.
 The Operations Services Manager will also be responsible for interface with other functional groups within Operations to collaborate systems and reporting. Monthly LOE and capital accruals will be centered on data and processes established by the Operations Services Manager using existing systems. Coordination of tech processes as relates to systems integration for forecasting and other sensitivity analysis as needed.
 On a quarterly basis, provide support to VP, Drilling & Production Operations including preparing schedules for briefing booking (Production & LOE variance schedules, well count schedules, Eagle Ford well status report, etc.), fact checking and tie out for operational data in SEC 10Q and 10K forms, fact checking and tie out of earnings release, and preparation of earnings call script.
Knowledge & Skills:
 Candidate needs to be proficient in data management and systems integration.
 The manager will initially spend time with field personnel and a contract engineer to fully understand the production systems in the field as well as corresponding marketing arrangements.
 Will need to ensure that the company is getting the most out of it’s recent conversion to TOW including consistent reporting, data quality control and interface with field automation systems.
 Soft skills and communication are a key attribute necessary for the position.
Education & Experience:
 A four year degree in a technical field is preferred.
 Some prior management experience and exposure to production operations would be a plus.
