The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an Operations Specialist to join our clients Australia Production Unit.
The successful candidate will have a background in Oil & Gas Production environments and be familiar with Safe Systems of Work, Operating Procedures & Practice and the relevant Australian Legislative framework. This role will provide an excellent grounding for any future Offshore Supervisor and will require regular travel offshore.

Based in our Perth Office, the Operations Specialist will interface with Operations personnel, Field Managers, Surface Engineering and HSE personnel, ensuring implementation of Operations and Maintenance functional excellence requirements across all facilities as well as adherence to corporate standards, policies, and guidelines.

• Management of Maintenance for the Australian operated facilities including providing and coordinating operations and maintenance support for the field, subsea infrastructure and FPSO
• Optimisation of work management processes on the Australian Operated facilities. Including interface with Offshore Maintenance Supervisor and relief work as required.
• Timely implementation of Strategic and Integrated Plans for the Australian Operations.
• Facilitation of the interface between Development Project Teams and Operating Facilities
• Capturing and sharing operational lessons learned across the APU operating facilities
• Supporting global Operations initiatives, ensuring consistency and standardization across the APU
• Sharing and embedding Lessons Learnt from the organisiation and Industry across APU Facilities
• Supporting 1SAP/GO program integration and APU implementation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A trade or engineering qualification together with a formal qualification in Maintenance Management is desirable
minimum of 10 years experience.
A strong understanding of maintenance and work management processes is essential.
Operations experience in a lead or supervisory capacity is required, ideally on an offshore facility.
