The Role:
Supervise the day to day operational aspects of the terminal. To include pipeline receipts, tank to tank transfer, road tanker receipts and the loading of road tankers.

Provide direction to Operators on the conduct of their duties.

Adhere to the terminal safety rules and follow all procedures and good industry practice.

Ensure that operational records are accurately and comprehensively completed.

Liaise with third parties, as appropriate, on all matters associated with product receipt, loading and storage.

Communicate effectively with drivers, contractors & visitors so as to ensure the safe, effective operation of the terminal.

Drive terminal safety culture. Participate in HSE audits including conducting driver and contractor audits.

Treat terminal users including drivers, as valued customers; respond to queries and requests from COP staff and customers politely and diligently.

Have a full knowledge of permit to work system. Issue of permits including gas testing and checking of isolations.

Ensure housekeeping is maintained to a high standard.

Liaise with Manager & Maintenance Engineer to ensure safe and timely preparation of equipment for shutdowns, maintenance and re-commissioning.

Review Operation’s procedures.

Draw to management attention any deficiencies in terminal procedures or systems of work.

Undertake training as required by management.

Carry out any task for which appropriate training has been given as directed by management.

Maintain client confidentiality.
