The Company:
Major Operating Company - LNG Facility

The Role:
Supervises the operational activities of the LNG Plant facility by following the technical and safety procedures and standards according to the Company business plan. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all operations/maintenance related activities are properly communicated with the shifts in charge and technology/engineering section involved on a shift basis. Prepares shutdown schemes with relevant instructions and spading provisions. Assures LNG production meets daily scheduled production requirements. This position will be located at Hackberry, Louisiana plant.

• Interfaces with the Maintenance Supervisors to plan and perform the maintenance of every piece of equipment and ensure its availability. Organizes and plans daily engineering/maintenance related activities as efficiently as possible and sets priorities in consultation with the shift superintendent. Performs analyses on frequent failures of equipment.
• Analyzes the plant operations performance on his/her shift and makes the decisions required to get the maximum terminal performance and reliability. Sets process guidelines for efficient operation and monitors adherence. Assumes the duties of the Emergency Response Team Leader on his/her shift in an emergency event; or for incidents that does not require activation or notification of outside agencies/authorities, Authorized signatory of fire and safety permits.
• Trains and develops operators to ensure a highly qualified and safety minded operations team.
• Performs administrative activities to develop budget recommendations. Develops schedules, assigns, directs, motivates, monitors, and evaluates the work of operators; reviews and approves time sheets; schedules vacations.
• Develops and updates operational procedures and ensures adherence to technical and operating policies, procedures and standards; applies Health, Safety and Environmental Standards in all working procedures.
• Interfaces with ship's officer's to conduct pre-transfer meeting, coordinates pre-unloading ship activities, records events, calculates cargo quantities, and accurately completes customer unloading receipts.
• Performs other duties as assigned. - Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties)

(Degree / Certification / License / Experience)

• BS in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) or equivalence in experience

• Minimum 10 years hydrocarbon industry of which at least 2 years of experience in a similar position of responsibility and expertise in an operating LNG Liquefaction or equivalent facility with similar processes.

Organize and supervise the activities of various crews and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and other departments. Strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations; write reports, correspondences, and procedure manuals and to effectively present information and respond to question from peers, clients and managers.
• Creates a strong team environment.
• A strong working relationship and collaborative partner in the interactions of maintenance activities and performance.
• Self-starter with ability to work strategically with minimal direction.
• Ability to address personnel HR issues from a viewpoint of fairness and practicability.
• A participative leader that offers opinion and direction when appropriate or required.
• Able to remain calm and effective in emergencies.
• Able to develop employee training programs and their evaluations.
• Able to perform energy balance across the facility.
• Strong knowledge of the various operating modes of the facility.
• Must possess considerable knowledge and experience in the application/operation of software programs that go beyond basic word processing. Work may involve the development or use of moderately complex PC spreadsheets, and presentation or graphic materials.
• Knowledge of budgeting, planning, scheduling and services.
• High level of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) knowledge.

Physical Requirements*:
Examples: Required to lift boxes up to 50lbs twice a month. Required to walk or stand for 2 hrs at a time.
The incumbent is expected to perform duties that involve standing, walking, climbing, running, sitting, kneeling, twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, carrying, lifting, and driving. Most activities involve movement of either the upper and lower body extremities or both and the joints associated with these areas of the body. As stated above, the incumbent must be able to climb to heights approximately 190 feet, must lift up to 50 pounds, and able to adorn self contained breathing apparatus equipment.

DOT Requirements:
The U.S Department of Transportation (DOT) and the company have adopted regulations governing the control of drug use by persons in certain job classifications. This position is subject to the Federal Pipelines Regulation; and is stipulated in the 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 40 that requires drug and alcohol testing and must meet the testing standards.
