The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Business Analysis & Project Delivery • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to capture detailed business requirements (including business rules) and understand current and future business processes. • Translate business requirements into system requirements via standard methodology • Ensure an objective approach when analysing business requirements to ensure all relevant alternatives have been considered and selected and that the chosen solution meets business project objectives • Where required facilitate workshops or meetings to capture business requirements and identify any gaps. Ensure consensus is reached on the outcome or issues are captured and escalated to the Project Manager as required. • Document the relationship between the business requirements and systems solution in a way that can be understood by key stakeholders and the project team. • Where ever possible, utilise agreed standard template for project documentation. • Apply IT Standards, including Information Protection in the development of system requirements, business processes and procedures • Define and design application functional and user interface requirements • Ensure deliverables are developed with high standards and delivered on time. If this is not possible, ensure early communication and negotiation with the Project Manager. • Where ever possible, apply agreed or standard business analysis processes and procedures to ensure consistency within the Project Team. • Ensure ongoing liaison with the appropriate Architects to ensure solutions proposed are aligned with the ABU Architecture standards and principles. • Ensure all Business Analysis Process documentation produced on the project can be used to: o update the “As Is” Enterprise Architecture (Business Architecture layer) models once the systems are handed over to production support o support testing o support training handover o support service delivery handover • As required, develop presentations and provide high level communications to project stakeholders on: o business operational scenarios o business process/responsibility changes and implications o business process integration gaps and potential issues • In collaboration with business SMEs (Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and super users, develop user procedures and work instructions, that not only describe how to use systems, but how individuals should successfully carryout their day-to-day duties in an efficient, safe and effective manner • As agreed in project scope and plan, provide post go-live support to end users to assist in refining user system procedures and efficiencies. Opportunity Assessment and Stakeholder Management Under the guidance of the Project Manager • Work in collaboration with appropriate Architects in evaluating the business fit of different solution alternatives • Identify and map high level end-to-end business workflows to enable: o proposed solutions to be understood in a business context o the Solutions Architect to develop an “integrated” set of solutions for the program support highlighting with limited gaps and overlaps across functional areas • Develop presentations/documentation and provide communications to project stakeholders on: o proposed solutions o business operational scenarios o business process/responsibility changes and implications • As instructed, assist in the development and documentation of the business case regarding: o Identification of qualitative and quantitative benefits o Identification of process, people & technology changes required to support the agreed benefits • Manage business expectations on the scope of the projects so that there are “no surprises” • Where required, assist the Project Manager in assessing the pipeline of new opportunities and proposed initiatives from business stakeholders Teamwork • Develop effective working relationships with project team members and business stakeholders • Ensure an effective and productive working relationship with the Project Manager. • Ensure conflict resolution is conducted professionally and escalate if required. • Support a “can do” attitude amongst project team members and business stakeholders • Demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges • Collaborate with other Business Analysts in developing and enhancing business analysts’ work methods and standards

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimun 5 years experience as a Business Analyst
Mandatory: • Strong analytical skills • Experience across all phases in the project lifecycle • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Comfortable in communicating with different management levels and people of different backgrounds Advantageous: • Oil & Gas experience • System configuration / package implementation experience • IT background
