The Company:
Our client, an international oil and gas operator, is seeking an Operator Training Simulator for one of their major projects.

The Role:
Management of OTS to ensure that all Operator Training Simulator (OTS) trainers receive adequate training in all aspects of OTS operation, appropriate to their responsibilities and disciplines, so that the necessary level of competence for Operations and Maintenance personnel will be achieved. Ensuring information, data and systems contained in the OTS are accurate and ‘up-to-date’ with the equipment and processes. To develop training ‘scenarios’, training material, programs, schedules and delivery methodologies that ensure Operations and Maintenance personnel are competent to perform their respective job/positions tasks and functions.

This is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to orient, train and develop OTS Trainers on the team; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision. Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensuring compliance with the standards set by the under AQF PMA 08 qualifications and Operations and Maintenance personnel training and assessment.
- Ensuring that the experience, qualifications and training of OTS trainers are appropriate to the duties being preformed.
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Maintaining OTS operability in training centre(s).
- Ensuring that all OTS operating procedures are complied with, reviewed and amended as required.
- Developing, maintaining a schedule of training and assessment delivery.
- Managing and coordinating OTS trainers.
- Managing and coordinating financial, technical and human resources.
- Developing schedules that meet the operational needs and requirements of Operations and Maintenance
- Developing programs that meet the competence requirements of Operations and Maintenance
- Support in the transportation of the OTS and re-commissioning of OTS in the Operations Centre and other location that may be required.
- Preparation of weekly/monthly progress reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Adult or Vocational Education, or related subject, or Associate Degree in Computer Technology or related field

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of Oil and Gas.
- Minimum of five (5) years of information technology and media equipment presentation
- Technical experience in information technology and media equipment presentation, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
