The Role:
This is a position for a candidate with business/finance background, however somebody who understands the background of operational/maintenance costs. The candidate will be involved in ABCM (Activity Based Cost Modeling) from SAP and other MMMS systems.
This will be full time position based in Rijswijk, NL but required to travel to carry out OPEST model building and data gathering exercises throughout Europe/Africa/Russia/Kazakhstan, wherever these activities are required by other operating companies.
The right candidate has:
Knowledge of:
• the activities associated with operating the Asset
• the activities associated with maintaining the Assets
• the activities associated with Well Services
• a typical Shell organisation and the associated departmental activities
• the EP Business Model
• ERP system design (SAP Work Management, Material Module, Financial Module)
• benchmarking requirements.

Awareness of:
• economic requirements, e.g. Forex data, escalation factors
• tax implications
• business economics.
Typically this role is executed with a recommended minimum of five years of operations experience on an Asset.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- 5-10 years experienece in the oil and gas industry
- B.Sc level education in Finance or Business Engineering or relevant experience

Skills to enable:
• Opex budget forecasting
• translating the operating conditions into the forecast, e.g H2S, high pressure, EOR
• translating the environmental considerations into the forecast (low temperatures, high temperatures)
• validation of assumptions
• communication of data requirements to the organisation.
