The Role:
The Operating Service Centre (OSC) supervisor will be responsible for controlling and monitoring a number of processes on a continuous basis: Large (mother) plants on behalf of the local operating teams (Remote operation), Manned sites (Remote monitoring, supervision and optimisation), Unmanned satellite plants of the base mother plants (Remote monitoring, supervision and optimisation), Non-cryogenic plants (alarm management, monitoring and communication)

Role:

- Act as the Operating Service Centre (OSC) Manager’s representative on shift and at all times in the absence of OSC Manager.
- Control the operation of multiple plants, making real-time decisions to ensure production requirements & targets are met.
- To work as part of an operating team to ensure safe, efficient and reliable execution of all aspects of plant operation.
- Primarily responsible for all aspects of operation control, optimisation, and productivity and best practice replication.
- To maintain local plant operation responsibility, working with the OSC local site team to ensure safe, efficient and reliable execution of all aspects of plant operation for the local (mother) plant and the associated satellite plants.

Responsibilties:

- Compliance with the OSC site-wide basic safety process
- Safety meetings
- Risk Assessments
- Critical Systems Audits
- Task Safety Observations
- Safety inspections
- Accident Preventative Techniques
- Compliance with OSC site emergency plans and act as OSC site emergency controller
- Liaising with the Emergency Services and customers in emergency situations
- Site security
- Remote monitoring and contact for out of hours contacts at sites
- Compliance with legal operating permits via compliance with local SWIM’s
- Communication and information of site EH&S matters to the plant operating teams Operations
- Continuous supervision, control & optimisation of plant processes
- Meet defined production plans, plant rates & product splits
- Starting/stopping remote plants as required
- Assisting local plant teams in complex plant operations
- Adherence to local plant operating procedures; to meet efficiency targets; remote start/stops and alarm management of non-cryogenic plants
- Provide 1st line operational response for plant troubleshooting
- Provide remote assistance to bulk loading, resolution of analysis issues etc.
- Responsible for daily production reporting, and plant performance status reporting
- Assist plant management in development of OSC SWIM’s

KPI Responsibilities:

- On the OSC site: Retain expert knowledge of site operations to lead in-depth troubleshooting
- Lead major on-site plant start-ups and shut-downs
- Liaise directly with the Terminal Lead and also provide local assistance to Bulk loading activities, and resolution of analysis issues etc.
- Work with technical staff and plant management to solve plant and equipment problems as they arise
- Carry out a limited scope of local routine maintenance activities & rectification of defects in a timely manner
- Actively participate in the execution of planned major maintenance activities, such as plant shutdowns, where appropriate for skills available
- Identify and be actively involved in development and execution of maintenance related productivity ideas, where appropriate for skills and experience available.

Training & Teamwork:

- Maintain own training in compliance with requirements
- Maintain effective communications with local plant operating team colleagues
- Request call-out of local plant operating teams when required according local call-out agreements
- Request call-out of maintenance teams & Customer Engineering teams according to agreed call out arrangements.

Shift Pattern

- 12 hour shift pattern (2 on 1 off, 2 on 4 off)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The candidate should have formal technical qualifications in relevant trade or operational discipline. Substantial experience in Industry, ideally with a good knowledge of process operation and control. Excellent team worker with good interpersonal/ communication skills Possess good level of IT systems competence, including proficiency in standard Office applications. Self motivated, independent and rigorous in the logical application of procedures.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree Level in a technical or engineering subject
