The Company:
Our client, an international major oil and gas operator, seeks a Package Equipment I&C Engineer to join their team.

The Role:
• Reviews detailed design of projects for technical accuracy, compliance, completeness and feasibility to governing codes and COMPANY requirements.

• Work with EPIC package Engineers to ensure Control System and Instrumentation details are in accordance with PROJECT specifications and designs or otherwise agreed.
• Have a working knowledge of National and International standards relating to Control and Instrumentation Systems, including, but not limited to API, NEC, UL/FM, ABS USCG, CFRs IEC. Experience of working with COMPANY engineering Standards is preferable.
• Be able to resolve all issues with respect to vendor package Control System and Instrumentation.
• Work with other project discipline Engineers to resolve issues with respect to equipment package design, including Mechanical, Process, HES, etc.

Have a working knowledge and be responsible for the following aspect of Package Equipment:
• P&IDS, C&Es, SAFE Charts, HAZOPS, Control Narratives and Philosophies
• Fieldbus Instruments, including level, pressure, flow and temperature
• Conventional Instruments including level, pressure, flow and temperature
• Vibration Monitoring Systems
• Communication Systems, including HART, ControlNet, Fieldbus, Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus, OPC, VNetIP and telecommunications
• Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
• Package Equipment Fire & Gas and suppression systems
• Control System hardware, including Rockwell Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Yokogawa Centum VP DCS and ProsafeRS
• Control System software, including Rockwell Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Yokogawa Centum VP DCS and ProsafeRS Review and comment on package vendor documentation
• Lead Control and Instrumentation Systems Factory Acceptance Tests at vendors shops
• Lead Control and Instrumentation Package Equipment integration at Fabrication yards
• Participate with equipment installation supervision, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities both on and off-shore

Travel & Location(s):
• Frequent travel is required to vendor locations in North America, Europe, Asia and others locations as determined by COMPANY.
• Relocating mid 2012 to Texas Gulf Coast Yard to support Integration, on-shore and offshore commissioning through “First Oil”.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree or equal in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in Upstream Oil & Gas projects.
• Be SafeGulf certified or be able to successfully complete a SafeGulf course.
• Be eligible for a “TWIC” card.
• Be able to pass a USGC approved HUET and Sea Survival course.
• Experience of working on a COMPANY Major Capital Project in a similar position would be desirable.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• 10+ - 15 years, PE preferred and may be required by region
