The Company:
Our Client is a major contractor providing consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world's energy, power and process industries. They are the leading Contracting Company to the Oil and Gas Industry in the UK.

The Role:
Key aims and objectives
• Act as Single Point Accountability for the POs. Responsible for quality, cost and schedule.
• Budget and cost performance.
• Establishment of Key Performance Indicators for the PO.
• Work progress, document submittals, sub-suppliers and final delivery.
• Quality of work documentation.
• Timely close-out of PO.
• Successful hand over to the Construct ion yard , then to HUC and finally to operations.

Prime responsibilities and duties
The Package Manager shall insure:
• Good team coordination between the relevant Requisitioning Engineer, Buyer, Insurance, Inspector, Expeditor, Document Management and Information Management. .
• All changes to the package are registered and processed in full compliance with the project procedures for the Change Control, including the involvement of the Technical Authority as applicable.
• Risk Management is implemented
• Early warning of any changes with interface impact is communicated to affected parties.
• Liaise with all relevant engineering departments for multi-discipline support.
• Any non-conformity detected during execution of the work are recorded and handled as outlined in the relevant project procedure. At a time before delivery, all non-conformity shall be corrected/resolved by the supplier and signed out confirmed by the Package Manager. Where this can not be achieved, any carry-over work shall be documented and agreed in accordance with the projects Carry-over Worklist Procedure.
• The Package Manager shall also be responsible for any 'Agreement for Technical Assistance' with the Supplier for the installation and commissioning of the equipment.
• The Package Manager shall work closely with the Buyer to ensure that all aspects of the procurement procedures and requirements are met.
• The Package Manager will agree a 'package visit schedule', having due regard for complexity of package, assigned criticality rating and degree of supplier support that the team believes is warranted from previous experience, bid evaluation process, any meetings held.
Allied occasional duties
• Inform, discuss and agree all relevant technical details with engineering disciplines.
• Coordinate all engineering interfaces.
• Ensure that both the enquiry and purchase requisitioning package is complete and includes la test datasheets and requirements.
• Act as Technical Authority for the package team.
• Participate in meetings with supplier e.g. bid committal, kick-off, pre-production etc.
• Review attendance at suppliers works.
• Arrange for witness of Factory Acceptance Tests and coordinate with BPPM regarding any additional parties to participate / witness. (E.g. Operations, etc., as applicable).
• Actively follow up the requirements in the VDRS i.e. expediting overdue documents, using the document control system.
• Review, comment on, follow up and verify compliance with the Inspection and Test Plan in conjunction with QE.
• Monitor suppliers progress to ensure that material is delivered to the correct site location according to schedule.
• Obtain information from suppliers concerning CE marking, PED module and Notified Body to be engaged.
• Verify that suppliers arrangements for compliance with PED are met.
