The Role:
The Primary purpose of this role is to plan, coordinate, and provide PACO (Process Automation, Control & Optimization), Maintenance coaching of Instrument Technicians and Production personnel; to develop and assess competency of personnel; to improve the competence and personnel performance of maintenance crew; to improve equipment reliability in order to achieve production
targets in a safe and efficient manner.
This position requires the coach to be present at the work sites daily working hands on with our Iraqis Maintenance and Production staff. The PACO Maintenance Coach will play a critical role in helping to develop the workers using company standards, processes and procedures.

Principal Accountabilities:

Coaching of local national instrument and operations team on site at the various locations in accordance with the competence development requirements, and industry best practice.
 Develop and coach workers for enhanced performance e.g. Permit to Work, Inhibits and Overrides procedures
 Coach the production and instrumentation workforce hands on to work as a team to achieve goals.
 Promote safe practice for personnel and safe operation of production assets
 Assist with the training and Competence development and assurance of workers to ensure that personnel are reviewed, trained and developed to meet existing and future work demands
 Work daily with workforce to implement corrective instrument maintenance
 Review progress against Development plans and targets.
 Develop and coach current local national maintenance instrument team to build personal competence
 Hands on coaching of the instrument maintenance and production workforce to work as a team to achieve goals.
Assist to manage the development and implementation of maintenance integrity plans;
 Input into the preparation of the maintenance plans in line with Operations & Maintenance philosophy, Maintenance/Integrity strategies; ensure maintenance tasks are developed based on best practices, vendor's recommendations, results of appropriate analyses;
 Guide the preparation of the daily work activities in line with Operational Excellence requirements;
 Ensure understanding the definition and preventive maintenance requirements for SCE's;
 Assist in the review of relevant Operational Excellence elements
 Champion safety culture and use of systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical Certifications
10 to 15+ years experience in a gas and oil industry,
 Hands on field experience with F&G detectors, Field Instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level flow), PLC's, Pneumatic Instrumentation, Tuning PID controllers, analysers. Compressor Controls (GE Mark VI, BN 3500 vibration monitoring).
 Extensive knowledge of plant PACO Maintenance process
 Ability to coach troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation in Company workshops
 Ability to coach local personnel in the implementation and testing of small plant management of change (MOC's) that are primarily PACO in nature but require input from other disciplines e.g. civil, mechanical, electrical.
 Experience of Yokogawa PAS systems would be advantageous but not essential
 Good technical communication skills;
 Ability to interact with other members of the asset services directorate
Capable of giving direction and guidance on planning & reporting matters;

Good understanding of facility integrity and Process Safety in order to evaluate and rank risks

Good understanding of maintenance management systems, and processes (SAP, MIE).
