The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
On offer is a Painting and Insulation Supervisor position, a contract opportunity until 31/12/2015. Roster is 28/28 to work on Barrow Island.

Key construction technical responsibilities include:

• Member of the Painting & Insulation Team responsible for supervision and coordination with a primary focus on the Painting & Insulation scope for the LNG plant. Works directly with the contractor and sub-contractors’ teams to oversee the day-to-day activities.
• Expected to support issue resolution and improvements in a multi-discipline environment (painting, coatings and insulation, etc). Assures work execution status and progress reporting is accurate and aligns with priorities and milestones.
• Identifies issues associated with meeting construction execution, cost, and schedule objectives and provide recommendations to overcome any gaps.
• Interfaces with the site Technical Services team for subject matter support.
• Interfaces with the Perth-based Procurement, Project Controls and Contracts management teams to understand and support material supply, schedule, cost, and construction philosophies related to the construction scope of work.
• Ensures facilities are constructed per applicable industry and the company’s specifications and standards.
• Effectively manages and controls change.

You will also manage the day-to-day interface with both contractors and subcontractors, providing a focus on safety, environment and quarantine together with quality and engineering aspects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you are required to have:
• 15+ years site construction experience (within a Painting & Insulation environment)
• Experience within the Construction industry, specifically for construction of LNG plants and knowledgeable with industry construction methods and procedures
• Experience and familiarization with AS2700 (painting) AS1627 (blasting) and insulation standards
• Good understanding and able to read Engineering drawings
• Proven record of consistently meeting quality, construction and schedule goals
• MUST have good organisational skills and able to keep clear and precise records and quality documentation
