The Company:
Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (Sakhalin Energy, SEIC) is the operator of the Sakhalin-2 project under a Production Sharing Agreement with the Russian Federation. The company was formed in 1994 to develop the Piltun-Astokhskoye and the Lunskoye oil and gas fields in the Sea of Okhotsk offshore Sakhalin Island in the Russian Far East.

The Role:
Job responsibilities of the paintng and thermal insulation inspector engineer are identified on the basis and in the scope of the qualification requirements, and may be amended and identified according to the Job Description as required.

Job description:

 Develop coating and painting Procedures and ITP for all assets in compliance with RF legislation requirements, Shell Group Design and Engineering Practices and industrial standards.
 Provide daily inspection activities for the OPF CUI project and reporting to the project manager and lead materials & corrosion engineer.
 Approve the painting inspection report and issue it to the project manager.
 Review the quality of painting / thermal insulation activities to ensure that all HSE requirement are achievable and the execution of the work according to the company procedure.
 Develop and record the inspection activities per day including the environmental conditions.
 Carry out the NDT for the painting / insulation activities.
 Able to carry out DT for the coating and insulations.
 Carry out the visual inspection and contact with the inspection engineer in case of any corrosion had been found.
 Ensure that all the inspection equipment have a valid certifications.
 Reviewing and approval of the final CUI contractor documents and as built drawings.
 Review engineering CUI design proposals, studies, research, drawings and documentation.
 Perform competence assessment activities, personnel training, arrange on-job training, discipline training and be involved to enhance competence and improve corrosion engineers and technicians skills.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Materials Corrosion Engineering, or related subject
 10 years experience in hydrocarbon production, preferably with an Operating Company
 Demonstrable competence in painting / insulation inspection activities.
 Excellent communications skills and service provision mentality
 Leadership, coaching, facilitation and teamwork skills
 Change management, negotiation skills and diplomacy
 Extensive knowledge of coating, painting thermal insulation, NDT, and manufacturing processes
 Data-Doc management
 Regulatory codes and requirements, local and international
 Good understanding of HSE precautions
 Hold NACE coating inspector certifications or equivelent

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Oil and gas experience
Good English
