The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
To Inspect DCS panels assembled on site to engineering drawings and bills of materials.
To power up and make safe the same panels to be handed over to Application Engineering for factory Acceptance Tests.
To support the Factory Acceptance Tests.
Be able to produce Inspection reports to highlight faults and corrective actions.
To work as a member of the Systems Design and Assembly team, to ensure that the customer's requirements are met as efficiently and timely as possible.
To maintain test equipment loan and calibration databases. To be able to carry out circuit/loop type testing.

MAIN TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure that all work completed by the Panel Assembly workshop is inspected against the Engineering Drawings supplied and is then safely powered up and officially handed over to Application Engineering in line with official procedures.
To participate in the day to running of the Inspection Department

To be able to assist with Hardware related problem solving throughout the Hardware Design and Assembly function all the way through to FAT.

To be able to support the Application Engineering team throughout FAT

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in Inspecting electrical equipment to engineering drawings (preferably DCS panels)
Must be computer literate, able to maintain spread-sheets, communicate via e-mail, etc
Must be able to work on own initiative Must be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar (degree level would be great) Some form of Electrical training/Qualification would be desired
