The Company:
Our Client is a large Automotive and Commercial Vehicle OEM, with a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering on a contract basis. These opportunities are typically based in their research and development facility located in Dunton which is the largest automotive technical centre in the United Kingdom.

The Role:
Position Description:
* This position is within Diagnostic Service Products (DSP).
* The group deals with developing and maintaining diagnostics.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for authoring the diagnostic and test content for the workshop manual.
* Authors are required to use both standard Office and custom software applications to author content comprising
of descriptive text and supporting graphics.
* Content will need to be authored for both new programs and correction of existing content.
* They will be expected to work closely with the diagnostic feature owners globally and product development who will provide much of the technical content.
* Authors will be expected to manage their own time and priorities in order to meet timing objectives.
* They will be expected to report status during regular team meetings.

Skills Required:
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Appreciation of the Global automotive environment and diversity of consumer needs.
* Experience in authoring customer-facing instructional information.
* Ability to appropriately prioritise tasks and deliver on objectives.
Confident communicator able to work well in a team both at a local and global level but equally focused on own assignments.

Skills Preferred:
- Knowledge and experience of working with content management systems and xml. -
* Working knowledge of vehicles -
* Odyssey.
* XMetaL.
* Teamcenter. (Training can be provided )

Experience Required:
*Experience in the Automotive industry

Experience Preferred:
-Working with an electrical or Powertrain diagnostics environment -Experience of authoring content for customers

Education Required:
Background in the automotive industry

PART TIME This is a part time position. A minimum number of hours must be fulfilled, but working times and days are flexible and can be discussed and agreed with selected candidate prior to contract
