The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experienced engineering professionals.

The Role:
To ensure the Parts Supply function supports business critical customs compliances, to optimise material planning and material flow and to provide an associated analytical function.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
• Control the supply of components/materials to on-site receiving areas and off-site warehouses from the UK/overseas suppliers. Determine and prioritise daily/weekly requirements by obtaining and analysing information pertaining to inventory status and customer orders, receiving facility/supply constraints, internal/external disputes, quality/packaging/transport problems etc.
• Raise, issue and control supplier schedules to maintain efficient stock levels in support of departmental first time availability and inventory objectives.
• Identify and forecast supply constraints on a daily basis and to plan/instigate appropriate resolution.
• Support the Purchasing Inventory management objectives by taking a lead in identifying Parts where supersessions need implementing and stock can be given to production to reduce to cost of inventory and optimise warehouse capacity.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery in support of customer orders and minimum stocking levels.
• Identify and forecast supply constraints on a daily basis to plan/instigate appropriate resolution.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• GCSE level standard of education, or equivalent experience in stock control and expediting is desirable.
• Experience of working in a technical purchasing role in an automotive environment.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data.
• Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to tight deadlines while remaining flexible.
• Excellent communication ability to both internal and external departments at all levels.
• A developed sense of the concept of customer service and the ability to go the extra mile to deliver solutions.
• Strong team working skills.
• Able to use all Microsoft applications, Excel to an advanced level.
