The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
Main Accountabilities of the Payroll Administrator will be able to:-
• Assist with the preparation and processing of payrolls each month
• Assist in the preparation and input of overtime forms/files
The Payroll Administrator will deal with:-
• Data input and verification – based on current legislation and company polices
• Collating information from various sources to interface with the company’s payroll system
• Assist with the preparation and processing of payrolls each month
• Assist in the preparation and input of overtime forms/files
• Assist with the preparation of information for processing via shadow payrolls for internationally mobile employees
• Update HMRC website with new starters, leavers and in-year documents as required
• Ad hoc duties, such as filing etc

The Payroll Administrator will:-
• Assist in the preparation and input of overtime forms/files
• Respond to employee queries by phone and email in a confidential manner

Key Challenges for the Payroll Administrator:-
• Self motivated
• Ability to deal with high volume confidential data
• Assist in the implementation of a new payroll system
• Assist in the review of data for RTI
• Assist in the review of data for Pension Auto Enrolment

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Typically BTEC qualified (or equivalent) or working towards IPP with a minimum of 2 years experience in a payroll admin role.
Must have up-to-date working knowledge of PAYE, NIC and Statutory Payment legislation

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good organisational and time management experience
Able to perform well under pressure and can work to strict deadlines
Good interpersonal communication skills
Working knowledge of Ceridian Payroll CPS1
Excel knowledge
