The Company:
Our Client is a Major Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Company

The Role:
To assist with the administration and processing of local and international payroll. To be a focal point for employees’ queries as well as a liaison for third party providers. Working alongside the HR Operations Team, responsible for ensuring employees are paid correctly and ensuring all concerns raised are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.

Key responsibility areas:

• Assist with monthly payroll input and review processes
• Assist with the preparation of year end information for month 13 payment, P60 and P11D production and reporting
• Answer requests from employees and business units in relation to payroll
• Updating systems, data management and reporting
• Developing professional relationships with payroll and pension providers
• Production of statutory payment reports and payment requests
• Record and provide details of benefits in kind for tax purposes
• Ensure compliance with external and internal Group requirements
• Ad hoc duties as and when required

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate specifications


• Relevant degree (HR or other relevant)
• CIPD would be advantageous

Knowledge and experience:

• Significant experience in a similar role with an international remit including payroll and year end reporting

• Working knowledge and understanding of payroll and pensions administration
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
• Stakeholder management and relationship building skills
• Planning and organisational skills
• Ability to identify and set priority actions, managing a heavy, complex and ever changing workload
• Effectively manage own time and deal competently with a variety of activities and projects
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Problem solving and decision making capability
• Ability to demonstrate integrity and confidentiality
• Self motivated and proactive with the ability to show initiative and assume added responsibilities when appropriate
