The Company:
An oil and gas client

The Role:
-Post employees earnings and deductions, and processes status such as new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, etc.
-Records, monitors and makes corrections to all time keeping
-Prepares reconciliation of payroll accounts with the general ledger, any required journal entries and employment agreements or hiring agreements prior to sending information to Service bureau.
-Assists in researching and reconciling payroll accounts with governmental agencies
-Maintain employee attendance records and record absences such as sick days, time off, vacations, etc.
-Performs calculations on all expatriate tax gross-ups.
-Completes special projects as assigned.
-Utilizing analytical skills to guarantee the best benefits package for the company’s employees is in place and therefore ensuring a competitive edge over the industry standard.
-Interpret related policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies with intimate knowledge on Benefits, FMLA and 401k laws.
-Monitor, analyze and recommend compliance actions for new and evolving benefit legislation.
-Creation of communication materials such as presentations and information packages to keep employees and management updated on plan changes and amendments and with a strong focus on these tasks during open enrollment periods.
-Maintaining all leaves in the leave tracking system with a keen eye for detail and strict adherence to set deadlines within the leaves process which ensures a smooth transition for the employee set going from an active to a leave status.
-Produce reports for HR compliance, i.e. AAP and FLSA
-Maintain employee attendance records and record absences such as sick days, time off, vacations, etc.
-Employee Personnel and Benefit files maintenance to remain in compliance with HIPPA standards.
-Deliver new hire benefits orientation in coordination with the HR department as a whole.
-Setup and administration for all benefits packages specific to expatriates and inpatriates.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Requires a Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent industry payroll and/or accounting experience.
-Inpatriate payroll & benefit experience.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office
-Proficient with timekeeping systems
-Strong analytical skills
-Ability to maintain confidentiality.
-A minimum of 5 years of benefits and payroll experience including working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relative to benefit and payroll issues.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office & Leave Tracking
-Exceptional customer service and multi-tasking skill set.
-Knowledge of time management and prioritization of projects.
-International Payroll experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
-Spanish preferred
