The Company:
Our client is a global market leader within the energy sector with projects in over 30 countries worldwide. Here in Australia, they are involved in one of the largest LNG projects with operations spanning exploration, production and downstream. The Role:
Our client is seeking a Payroll Officer who is a team player with strong problem solving skills for a part time (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) employee position based in Perth.

As the successful candidate your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist with preparation, balancing and reconciliation of payroll tax, PAYG, superannuation, workers compensation premiums, income protection reporting and authorized payroll allowances and deductions.
  • Ensuring salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time.
  • Assist with the preparation of redundancy calculations and terminations.
  • Maintaining pay records, employee records, leave records and related information.
  • Preparing management reports based upon information within the payroll system.
  • Resolving/answering queries relating to payroll across the organization.
  • Support payroll audit activities - 4 per year.
  • Work with HRIS to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide full support to the Payroll Advisor.
  • Yearly reporting for YE (June/July) , Salary Continuance (January) and Workers Compensation (August).
  • Assist with Payment Summaries, ISTIP, Remuneration Review and FBT reporting.
  • Per the outsourcing agreement, work seamlessly with payroll offshore group on all related matters.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Certificates in payroll / HRIS

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in dealing effectively with payroll audits.
  • Experience in establishing system processes and procedures.
  • Experience in development of payroll and other required reports.
  • Minimum desired 3 years end-to-end payroll experience.
  • Experience in resource industry (or industry with multiple shifts, rotations, FIFO, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with SAP, HR and Payroll modules.
  • Desired exposure to SAP People Self Service (PSS).
  • Attention to detail I accurate record keeping and report management.
