Our client is a world leading oil field services company with offices across Australia. Our client works with some of the world's leading operating clients and provide world class services to the oil industry.

The Role:
An opportunity as arisen for a Payroll or Tax Analyst to join Oil and Gas Company based in Perth. Responsibilities of the role entail dealing with compliance of tax withholding, tax payments, and tax return preparation of employee data and lodgement for Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Timor-Leste onshore or offshore petroleum related activities.

Responsibilities include but may not be limed to:

•International tax calculations for international population working in Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Timor-Leste onshore or offshore petroleum related activities.
•Working closely with Tax department to insure compliance national and locational laws and changing regulations.
•Reviews employee related withholdings and tax related issues.
•Tasks are related to payroll tax processing, tax returns, end of year withholding processing and tax payments in compliance with local regulations and company policy.
•Responsible for ensuring timely filing of taxes as per labour law requirements
•Prepares tax payment requests, tax returns and tax reporting using tax reporting software and other systems including managing and collecting data to support calculations.
•Responsible to analyse a variety of data and reports, complete research, input necessary adjustments and provide a wide range of customer service activities in support of payroll.
•Support subordinates in the calculation and reporting of tax liabilities, in responding to questions and special requests from employees and regulatory agencies, in researching laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures.
•Required to work with external vendors and agencies as well as internal organizations to ensure accurate payments and reporting.
•Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end journal entries and reconciliations for withholding tax and superannuation payments.
•Respond to internal and external auditors inquiries.
•Produce timely and accurate responses to employee queries.
•To assist in the development, implementation, evaluation, review and improvement of the workers compensation claims management / administration policies, procedures and processes. Provide the payroll actual and estimate cost for policy renewals.

•Communication: Intermediate oral/written communication skills, customer services oriented, negotiate effectively with customers, contractors and competitors, and interacts frequently with peer groups, subordinates and senior mgt. advising on area of responsibility.
•Cross Discipline: Understanding of interaction with other disciplines, Company strategy and the principles of Quality Management
