The Role:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Coordinate and control all work permit activities within the project scope and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with Company procedures, recommendations and statutory requirements,
•Maintain highly effective communications links with the project team members, Company contacts and key Contractors representatives,
•Maintain a high level of safety awareness and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards and actively participate in Company safety initiatives


MAIN ACTIVITIES:

•Anticipate ISSOW requirements for upcoming works and assist in the preparation of WCC documentation as required.
•Manage the status of WCC’s to ensure they are submitted, revalidated, closed etc in a timely manner.
•Verify permits prior to approval by management team
•Identification of plant, equipment, and process isolation requirements within the bounds of the Permit to Work System and in accordance with the project Isolation Rules.
•Liaise with isolating authorities to ensure isolations are implemented Carry out Risk Assessment exercises and direct teams in Toolbox Talks as appropriate.
•Under direct instruction from Commissioning and Construction Superintendents issue authorised permits. Monitor simultaneous and adjacent work scopes. Resolve of any conflicts between work scopes.
•Participation in worksite inspections and PTW audits.
•Ensuring that all work permits issued are cross referenced (where applicable) to all interacting activity, and that all concurrent activities are carried out safely.
•Maintain general awareness of all CMS procedures and be fully conversant with those relating to ISSOW

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Approved North Sea training (BOSIET, MIST), and valid offshore Medical certificate.
•Appropriate experience working offshore in the oil & gas industry
•Good understanding of construction, commissioning and plant operating principles for oil & gas processing
•Good communication skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels and direct, co-ordinate and organise work of production and construction personnel.
•Good, logical problem solving and decision making skills
•Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate Safe Working Practices
•Good knowledge of ISSOW system
•Good computer skills
•Able to read and understand P&ID’s
