The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
The Permit Officer will provide support to the Site Manager, Field Facilities Construction Manager and the Commissioning Manager – Upstream Projects
The Permit Officer will:
 Manage the PTW (Permit to Work) system for the Construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning stages of the Project
 Co-ordinate permits for energising and pressurising systems during construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning of systems up to hand over to Operations
 Risk assess Permits for simultaneous operations
 Manage inductions for PTW system
 Provide training to technicians and personnel involved in the PTW system and start up process system
 Provide assistance to the Superintendents, Supervisors and Inspectors as directed
 Audit the execution of the permit to work system within the construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning contractors work groups
 Review Greenfield Zone Assessment documentation and support the approval process with the asset owner
 Identify and manage SIMOPS interfaces to ensure the permit system and control of work process is not compromised
 Review JHA’s, SWMS etc. to ensure all hazards associated with the permitted tasks are identified and risk ranked appropriately
 Ensure all personnel undertaking the tasks are appropriately qualified and hold the appropriate licenses/certificates

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive experience in working with PTW systems
Significant experience in the construction industry – preferably in the Oil & Gas or pipeline industries
Experience with isolations both mechanical and electrical
Trade and/or an engineering background is preferable
Holder of current competency MSAPMPER300C – Issue Work Permits
