The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source a Personal/Technical Assistant to provide administrative assistance to the Upstream Operations Technical team, including the Engineering and Maintenance departments.

• Permanent Staff role with the project owner
• Brisbane based role, some domestic travel maybe required
• Competitive salary package

The Personal Assistant we be responsible for the day to day administration requirements of the department providing clerical support. Working for the project owner you will be responsible for conducting research for the manager as well as contribute effectively to the Operations Technical team and the wider company environment.

Typically the main responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for day to day administration of the department, including clerical support services, typing, filing, record management, email, faxing, mail and photocopying
• Effective diary management
• Minute meetings
• Facilitate the SAP requisition and vendor set-up process
• Prepare presentations using PowerPoint
• Set up of video conferencing and teleconferencing
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing communications including drafting correspondence, this may include reporting compilation and dissemination
• Coordinate domestic and overseas travel, accommodation and itinerary arrangements
• Maintain a confidential filing system
• Manage information databases
• Carry out confidential administrative tasks
• Own/manage special projects from time to time
• Provide support to the department
• Be fully conversant with and provide input to emergency response plans and procedures
• Participate in emergency response simulations and training
• May be required to supervise and provide guidance to less experienced staff

However, this will vary depending on both business need and individual experience.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in a Personal Assistant, Administration Manager or Technical Assistant role in the energy industry, engineering, maintenance or equivalent environments essential
• Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent experience is desirable
• Intermediate/advanced computer literacy in MS Office packages
• SAP/Maximo experience is preferred

• Self motivated and demonstrates a high level of initiative in dealing with non routine queries
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work autonomously or with a team and share knowledge
• Ability to undertake domestic travel
