The Role:
This role will involve liaison with a number of country and regional Finance personnel within the Group. The main responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for completion and filing of all employer personnel tax filings for UK and offshore employees working offshore UK, Norway, Canada and other countries
• Completion and filing of other UK employee tax matters, e.g. P11D & PSA reporting
• Liaising with HR and payroll functions within the territory and Singapore to ensure employee related tax compliance & reporting is appropriately handled
• Dealing with offshore employee queries with regards to employee taxes & National Insurance / social security deductions
• Provision of assistance to commercial groups in relation to employee taxes at tendering stage, as well as assistance to operations once projects are in operation
• Liaising with tax authorities in the UK with regards to Net of Tax Credit Relief Scheme, calculation & remittance of National Insurance contributions, etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications and Education
General Education:
Degree qualified is essential
Specified Qualifications for position:
Association of Tax Technicians qualified is desirable
Chartered Institute of Taxation qualified is desirable

Skills
Technical (including IT)
Good Excel knowledge essential
Commercially aware and willing to analyse data and understand it's commercial significance is desirable
Knowledge of SAP advantageous
Interpersonal:
Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role is essential
Articulates views in comprehensive manner is essential
Works well within a team is essential
Strong interpersonal skills necessary
Self Management:
Good organisational skills and smart working methods is essential
High professional standards and attention to detail is essential

Experience:
Experience in dealing with UK and/or Norway and/or Canada personnel tax compliance is essential
Previous experience in working as part of a team is essential

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of working within a tax role within a larger accountancy firm or an oil service company is desirable
