The Role:
The largest oil company in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Engineering Specialist with extensive experience in petrochemical - aromatics complex processes to work with the Downstream Process Engineering Division. The candidate must have extensive experience in petrochemical processes in general. Successful candidates will be responsible to lead and provide the required technical and engineering support for the company’s aromatics complex operating facilities, particularly in the areas of safety, reliability, and process optimization, by utilizing the most appropriate technologies, project support and ability to participate in reviewing the process flow diagram (PFD), piping and instrument drawings (P&IDS), front end engineering, detailed engineering documents and provide technical support during construction and commission activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering is highly desirable. Must have 10 years of extensive design and operating experience in the petrochemical industry with a minimum of 5 years in an operating plant as an Aromatics Complex Process Engineer.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Provide expert advice and assistance to company organizations, outside vendors, manufacturers, and design firms on matters relating to area of expertise. Originate and carry out engineering studies to determine potential problems and remedies to existing problems, resolve complex technical problems, increase revenue, optimize processes, protect the environment, or improve safety. Evaluate and introduce best practices and new technologies from all over the world to help the company achieve best in class positions in the oil business.
