The Role:
As a petrophysicist in one of the exploration project teams you will contribute to the petrophysical work content and quality of the project
1. You will provide all operational and studies petrophysics input in a team working on exploration study work.
2. Frequent stakeholder engagement is required both with the OUs, NOV organisations, JV partners and the New Business Group. These engagements occasional require visits to the customers.
Key elements of the job will include the following:
(1) Provide operational and study support to the integrated exploration team, including e.g. fully integrated interpretation of log / core & other well data, following relevant data / interpretations through into the (3D) sub-surface static and dynamic models, defining associated key uncertainties / risks & opportunities, core analysis & reservoir surveillance programmes, Value of Information - where appropriate.
(2) Provide operational PP support when required.
(3) Participate in project framing exercises, discipline and integrated peer reviews, and presenting ops/study progress / results to customers at regular milestone meetings.
(4) Pursue application of appropriate (new) evaluation (& data acquisition) technologies (where appropriate).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Geology or equivalent technical subject
2. 7+ years experience of relevant discipline with considerable exposure to conventional and/or unconventional reservoirs.
3. Strong team player
4. Effective communicator
5. High degree of achievement drive and initiative
6. A sound grasp of the latest PP technologies.
7. Hands-on experience with reservoir modeling and integrated, cross-discipline workflows.
8. Skilled in data QA/QC, data upscaling and assessment of data and model uncertainties.
9. Exposure to Value of Information methodology.
10. Knowledge of well and reservoir surveillance and operational experience.
