The Company:
Our Client is an O&G exploration and production company based in Aberdeen who operate in the North Sea. They have interests in a large number of fields, the majority of which they operate, on the UK Continental Shelf with numerous offshore installations and one onshore terminal.

The Role:
Reporting to the Subsea Infrastructure & Facilities Manager, the Subsea Pigging Engineer is accountable for the technical delivery of the subsea pipeline pigging work-scope from selection and definition of the appropriate methods, through detailed engineering and execution to deliver the required quality pipeline inspection data. Manages interfaces with the other business stakeholder and contractor teams relating to the work-scope.

Accountabilities
The preparation, execution, review and follow-up of inline inspection and pigging operations, and the associated cleaning, gauging, inspection and isolation (if required). Including the following aspects:
· Defining and managing the inline inspection program;
· Providing oversight and expediting the platform production pigging program;
· Working with the assets to ensure that the condition and function of the platform pig launchers and receivers are safe and remain within design codes and standard;
· Provision of offshore supervision for inline inspection and intervention operations;
· Preparation and integration of a 5 year in-line inspection program into the asset MTAPs, subsea vessel schedule and integrated activity plans;
· Inclusion of all in-line and intervention pigging activity into TMAX;
· Contract and performance management of pipeline pigging and pigging support contracts.
· Advising and supporting the Pipeline Integrity Engineers / Pipeline Technical Authority in their definition and assessment of pipeline pigging requirements;
· Expediting the data analysis, preliminary and final reports from the ILI contractors;
· Planning and supervising the trialling of testing of new techniques and technologies which may give us a HSE or business improvement;
· Ensuring that all pigging procedures, drawings, plans and budget (including norms) are maintained and remain current.

Key Duties
· Work in accordance with the company's management system.
· Remain abreast of legislative requirements.
· Preparation, checking and approval of design / engineering, execution documentation and data requirements.
· Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures.
· Provide input to, and prepare, cost estimates and execution plans.
· Ensure delivery of all aspects of discipline design, specification and procurement to safety, cost, schedule and quality criteria.
· Ensure technical integrity of all discipline deliverables.
· Plan and maintain the discipline progress of the work-scope.
· Report work progress status to the Pipeline Technical Authority and Pipeline Integrity Engineer.
· Ensure all interfaces with other disciplines are clearly defined and correctly engineered.
· Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant engineering technology & Codes and Standards.
· Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel, stakeholders and contractors.
· Implement and manage on a continuous basis a process of risk identification and management, including the management of change in order to minimise risks to work-scope delivery and objectives.
· Implement and record feedback of lessons learned to the organisation for similar future work-scopes.
· Act on specific objective technical direction and outcome requirements to develop and deliver flawless work execution.
· Plan, organise and coordinate PEER reviews and Risk Assessments and ensure actions are assigned and closed out in agreed timeframes.

· Provide input and support in HAZIDs, HAZOP's, HIRAs.
· Assist with HSE and DECC notifications, permits and consents as required.
· Technical input for ITT packages (SOW, BOD, specifications and drawings) and perform technical evaluation and clarification of tender submissions.
· Arrange offshore company representative visits according to the platforms' plans, coordinate and execute the works.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree qualified or equivalent in suitable engineering discipline, or time served professional with relevant experience preferred.
· Significant experience in a wide range of north sea subsea pipeline and riser pigging, testing and pre-commissioning activities including relevant employment with both a pigging contractor, subsea installation, intervention contractor and/or a pipeline operator·
- Experience shall include a range of subsea elements including both rigid and flexible pipelines risers.
