The Role:
The service holder assists the Piping / Valves / Vessels (PVV) Leader, provides advices and offers solutions to any encountered problem and, as a general manner, takes part to all the activities related to the PVV discipline, specifically during FEED, Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering.
As such, the service holder participates to the development of PVV documentation (General Specification, Particular Specification, etc.) for the Project, participates to the development of Basic Engineering by Contractors (control of Contractors’ documentation with regard to specifications), participates to the evaluation of Bidders during the tendering phase up to the Recommendation to Award, participates to the development of Detailed Engineering by Contractors (control of Contractors’ documentation with regard to specifications and contractual requirements), and shall remain, during the construction / installation / commissioning phases, the correspondent for any PVV problem occurring, advice to be given or technical deviation request to be analysed and answered.
The service holder shall liaise permanently with other technical engineers in order to ensure the whole consistency of the technical solutions and development.
The service holder participates to the achievement of FPSOs team objectives in terms of HSE, quality, costs (2,5 G$) and schedule.
The service holder reports to the Piping / Valves / Vessels (PVV) Leader (and, in his absence to the FPSO Engineering Coordinator), highlighting any problem / concern encountered in the performance of his duties.
The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE rules & requirements and for implementing HSE rules within his area of responsibility.

1. To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE and to implement HSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
2. To be informed of discipline-related Company Rules and Specifications (CR’s/GS’s), international norms and standards, taking knowledge from them to application to the Project
3. To participate to the definition, development and issue of all the necessary technical documentation related to the discipline for the Basic Engineering and for the tendering phase
4. To participate, for his discipline, in the evaluation of bidders (review and evaluation of bids), their ranking and in the issue of the final recommendation
5. To participate to the supervision and control of Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering (after Contract Award) by timely review/validation of the documentation related to the discipline issued by Contractors (technical documentation / queries / derogation requests), in compliance with SOR, Project Specifications and Procedures, Client General Specifications, Discipline requirements and international norms and standards, with the objective to ensure respect of the schedule and to optimise costs without impacting required level of Quality and Safety.
Raise consequently necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable / unjustified design choices, constructability issues...
6. To participate, as necessary, to the vendors / suppliers pre-qualification / qualification with regard to his discipline
7. To interface actively with other discipline engineers and other package engineers as necessary on all engineering, procurement, constructability, commissioning, operability and maintainability matters, in order to ensure consistency of the work
8. To participate to interface management in liaison with the Package Interface Engineer.
9. To participate to the resolution of any related-discipline problem occurring during the Execution Phase, to advice on technical deviation request and to keep updated the documentation related to his discipline.
10. As a general manner, to anticipate problems, optimize, improve, offer solutions and report to his Discipline Leader regarding the discipline progress and the encountered areas of concern
11. To ensure confidentiality of all the related-discipline documentation produced (whatever its support)

Basic Engineering to be executed through a CCFT / Design competition. Care must be taken to ensure that competition between the Contractors is fair and that details of each of the Contractors designs remain confidential. Assist each of the Contractors to prepare technically acceptable bids with the constraints of the CCFT Basic Engineering schedule and budget. Attend to necessary internal meetings or meetings with Contractors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Excellent related-discipline engineering, construction, commissioning and HSE.
Knowledge of International standard and norms.

Professional Experience (years): 5-15
Experience in similar position (years): 3-7
Previous experience as PVV Engineer at FEED or detailed design level will be appreciated
Good overall understanding of the PVV engineering SoW during engineering necessary
Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent
Languages: English mandatory
