The Role:
Develop and serve as Company’s internal DOT expert. This position will be responsible for oversight and implementation of Company’s contractual relationships with Company Pipeline and other third party contractors who administrate and operate Company’s DOT jurisdictional pipelines.
Assist with development and evaluation of metrics for the pipeline systems and other midstream assets.
Serve as the engineer for Company owned pipelines. Engineering responsibilities will include review and approval of Management of Change, consultant and contractor oversight for engineering design and site supervision, and project management including schedules, cost estimating, and cost controls.
Evaluate midstream opportunities in Company’s developing shale plays. Evaluation of existing contracts and commitments, potential partnerships, and economics of potential business opportunities will be required. For example, engineering, transportation, and marketing conditions will need to be discovered and understood and to successfully evaluate Company’s participation in gathering systems, gas plants, and other oil and gas transportation and midstream business opportunities.
Ensure that all aspects of facilities are designed and operated in a safe and environmentally sound manner and comply with all applicable local laws, codes and regulations, as well as in accordance with company guidelines, policies and standards.
Support Company's HES Management Systems by involvement in activities to enhance performance in Health, Environment, Safety and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree required: BS required
Major discipline: Engineering; Mechanical or Chemical preferred
