The Company:
A Major international oil and gas operator seeks a pipeline engineer to join their team

The Role:
. Reviews mechanical design of projects for technical accuracy, compliance, completeness and feasibility to governing codes and clients requirements.
. Establishes technical guidelines, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new manners nd draws conclusions from comparative situations.
. Assigns mechanical design ork and supervise accomplishment of same
. Requires very little to no supervision
. Can identify improvement opportunities, and define scope of work to accomplish
• Provide insight, direction and understanding of the facilities into which the export pipeline and system connects, and the interfaces within these facilities that affect the operation of the subsea export pipeline. Active participation in the interfacing with the BU operations to ensure compliance with BU rules and local regulatory constraints.
• Experience with state of the art pipeline system design, coating and equipment supply is essential, as is ability to effectively support market engagement activities and develop/manage supply contracts during different Phases. Familiarity with Microtunnelling and Open Cut shore crossing techniques, and typical NWS large diameter pipeline shore construction issues is desirable.
• The export pipeline system will transport dry, dehydrated gas from the Project Platform to the onshore Plant over required distance, and will involve extensive secondary stabilization and an innovative microtunnel shore crossing. Diver assisted installation and tie-ins are anticipated at the Platform, and for installation of in-line tee assemblies.
• Assist in project execution planning coordinating pipeline design aspects with the construction group to develop a fit for purpose design and complimentary installation plans.
• Assist the Pipeline Systems Engineering Lead to develop schedule and budget project objectives and to ensure effective project closeout including documentation at end of each phase. Interface with Client technical specialists to ensure best practices are implemented

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BS engineering degree
10+ years experience working woth major capital projects
Subsea and offshore pipeline experience
Africa experience is a plus
