The Role:
The Pipeline Engineer will be executing a large part of the Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) activities for the pipeline systems within the GUPCO joint venture. The pipeline inventory includes some 305 pipelines, both onshore and offshore. The Pipeline Engineer will be engaged in technical integrity, maintenance and inspection activities, pigging and specialty pipeline technology or processes. The Pipeline Engineer will also be engaged in any Management of Change efforts relating to the pipeline systems or usage, and will use appropriate standards, practices and design guidelines to execute the Pipelines activity plan.
The majority of the project activity will involve brownfield modifications and repairs. Larger projects will be awarded to recognized engineering contracting companies. Part of the role will be dedicated to support the Integrity Management ongoing activities, HSE
agenda and also managing the Pipelines discipline interfaces with other company departments.

* Reporting to Engineering General Manager/EA.
* Leading pipelines engineering activities in a multidisciplinary engineering project.
* Provide day-to-day technical support to GUPCO Operations/Assets (offshore & onshore).
* Liaise and interface with company operational sites to ensure obtaining early Operations input & feedback in early stages of design & engineering activities.
* Provide discipline assurance, integrity management, input and scope in company engineering activities, projects, etc.
* Supervise & co-ordinate his discipline engineering design & analysis performed by sub-contractors.
* Coaching of National Pipeline engineers.
* Foster Engineering culture & Engineering Assurance throughout company organizational structure.
* Develop the capabilities of newly joined & young engineers.
* Maintain high level standard of personal safety and HSE.
* Competency in utilizing Pipeline engineering & analysis software.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Civil, Master degree in Pipelines engineering is an advantage.
* Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Pipelines Engineering (offshore & onshore).
* Good upstream operational experience and Brownfield activities

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Register Chartered Engineer or Equivalent. * Good planning skills.
