The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Lead Field Authority for pipeline integrity issues
• Development, definition and oversight of the implementation of effective pipeline integrity processes and procedures
• Support the development of annual and multi-year pipeline integrity plans in line with the compnay's business plan
• Act as the principal custodian of PIMS Software Systems (PIMS) acting as the gate keeper for all data input, ensuring timely updating of risk profiles and extracting data and reports as required

Pipeline Integrity Management
• Ensure fitness of pipeline assets to maintain design intent over full life cycle to enable safe operations at all times contributing to the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the business
• Support the Project integrity assurance processes such that all new pipelines are fit for service at handover with sustainable integrity
• Ensure compliance with company's Asset Integrity Management and Pipeline Integrity Management Standards
• Take ownership of pipeline integrity technical data including document management and relevant management systems
• Implementation, application and update of pipeline integrity databases
• Sourcing, monitoring & input of integrity data (or facilitating the input of data) for cathodic protection systems; corrosion inhibition; erosion & corrosion monitoring; in line inspection; DCVG, sampling; process variables; patrolling, surveillance and all other potential sources of integrity related data
• Performance monitoring and verification of availability and quality of data acquisition; interpretation of data
• Interfaces with companys IT vendors, PIMS Software Vendors and GIS Team to address software/product technical issues.
• Support compnay's PIMS software users to effectively utilise the system, input and update. Supports the identification and review of module access needs and security requirements for new/existing system users
• Maintenance of risk models; periodic review of both static and dynamic models and re-bench marking as appropriate
• Take ownership of pipeline integrity related audit and review findings from compnay and other parties.
• Support the preparation of scopes of work for specific pipeline integrity activities to be conducted by specialists or external vendors as required
• Develop risk based integrity management plans. Support the development of work programs and budgets for pipeline integrity activities
• Participate in pipeline safety management studies, specific risk assessments, safety case revisions and other studies as required
• Develop, produce and communicate regular company pipeline integrity reports underpinned by robust KPIs and Performance Metrics
• Support AAPCO reporting to compnay and regulatory/statutory reporting
• Support the evaluation of defects and non-conformances and provide assessments to management of the ongoing hazards and risks
• Participate in management of change activities, ensuring that pipeline integrity is not compromised by physical, procedural or organisational changes
• Actively participate in the HSSE Risk Management Process including Risk Register Management
• Participate in the development and implementation of the Emergency Response and Crisis Management System

Inspection and testing
• Support the setting of appropriate inspection, surveying and patrolling strategies and philosophies ensuring compliance with Australian Statutory and Regulatory requirements and using the asset risk profile to optimise
• Ensure that inspection and testing regimes are established in accordance with industry best practice and are set appropriately
• Ensure all relevant Pipeline Integrity work scopes fully comply with company IAPS planning processes and procedures.

Continuous Improvement
• Increase pipeline integrity awareness, knowledge and capability in the workforce including ad hoc training and instruction for field pipeline operators and service providers
• Contribute to the development of PIMS Improvement Plans which can be incorporated into the Upstream Asset Integrity Improvement Plan
• Lead pipeline integrity best practice and interface with pipeline teams in other compnay assets

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience of pipeline integrity management systems – both software and processes
• Experience of undertaking pipeline integrity projects within the onshore Oil and Gas industry.
• Hands on experience in In-line inspection and anomaly assessment
• Conversant with all operational aspects of a pipeline maintenance planning.
• Experience in interaction with multi skilled technical staff and contractors
• Experience in the development of policies/procedures
• Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems and safety monitoring systems
• Demonstrated experience in commitment to safety
• Educated to a minimum AQF Diploma level (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline preferably pipelines, material or mechanical.
• Member of a relevant engineering Institute preferred.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Australian Pipeline Standards and standard
• Knowledge of Asset Integrity principles
• Knowledge of pipeline design, construction, operations and maintenance
• Knowledge of risk management principles including safety management studies, QRA, HAZID, HAZOP
• High level of analytical and problem solving skills. Able to think around issues and problems and find solutions
• Able to and enjoys building effective relationships across different teams, disciplines& locations
• Good communicator (verbal, written and oral)
• Initiative and capacity to exercise good judgment
• Results orientated and motivated achiever
• Good time management skills
