The Company:
Our client is an international joint venture company active in the planning, construction, and subsequent operation of major Offshore pipeline project.
Their head office is based in The Netherlands

The Role:
This Delivery Manager is the head of the Materials Team, and in that function responsible for :
Management of all material supply contracts for company supplies items
The manning, qualification and efficient functioning of the Materials Team

In addition, the Delivery Manager and his Materials Team is responsible to oversee/superviseMarshalling Yard operations, and also to approve installation contractors¡¦ welding procedures and
NDT procedures including qualification of these.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Materials Team on a daily basis
Develop and maintain the strategy and manning plans for the Material Team
Assure sufficient resources of highly qualified industry experts in the Materials Team and develop, guide and support the Materials Team in order to assure proper and safe working conditions
Manage together with the various Team Members all material supply contracts on a daily basis
Act as Company Representative for selected material supply contract and supervise HSE performance, schedule, budgets and quality of material suppliers
Report to Senior Management on regular basis
Interface with and support to other Delivery Teams and Functional Teams as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Graduated Engineer (MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering or similar) preferably with a second degree in Commercial / Management / Administration (MBA or similar);
Min. 15 years of international project and management experience in Oil & Gas / pipeline industry. Proven track record (min 10 years) from management positions on operator/owner side during development and construction of large international offshore gas pipelines;
Min. 5 years of experience acting as company representative for large material supply contracts (contracts with value > 100 million Euro value);
Good knowledge to international pipe material supply industry, incl. 1st-hand experience with Russian/Japanese/German pipe mills. Familiar with recent trends in the pipeline manufacturing industry (plate, pipe, coating, valves, other pipeline components);
Good knowledge to engineering issues like offshore pipeline design, material engineering, pipe component, line pipe manufacturing methods, etc.
