The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Member of a Perth based multifunctional project team responsible for subsea equipment and pipelines procurement, construction and installation activities associated with the Wheatstone Upstream development.

Offshore installation is scheduled to commence in 2013. Reporting to the Pipeline Installation Coordinator, Trunkline installation engineer and Flowline installation engineer, this individual has particular responsibility for the management, coordination and technical assurance of all activities associated with the design, fabrication, testing, load out and installation engineering of Trunkline and Flowline structures to be performed by the installation Contractor/Contractors.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Oversee the installation Contractor’s detailed design of the PLET’s and inline tees with a particular focus on interfacing with Company’s subsea equipment Vendor.
• Oversee the Detailed Design Contractor’s detailed design of the active pipe supports and span support structures.
• Oversee subcontracting, fabrication, testing and load out of all structures. The structures shall all be fabricated by the installation contractors and the successful candidate will work closely with the installation Contractor to ensure all Company requirements are met.
• Liaise with the SEV and procurement team to ensure that Company provided Materials are suitable for installation and are delivered in time with Contract requirements.
• Oversee development and risk assessment of all structure installation procedures.
• Day to day coordination with the Clients Flowline and Trunkline engineering to ensure effective and efficient transfer of information between Company and Contractor.
• Ensure construction and installation methodologies meet Clients project technical, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, and project objectives of operability, maintainability, reliability, and life cycle cost.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts on welding, materials and corrosion, NDT, field joint coating, fabrication, quality control, engineering, system integration testing and factory acceptance testing and commissioning to ensure that Company Technical Requirements are met and ensure Clients technical specialists are effectively utilized.
• Support design team in the development of fit-for-purpose structures that facilitate optimized installation and intervention activities.
•Seek out and apply best practices and lessons learned from other projects.
• Assist the Pipeline Installation Coordinator to monitor the budget and schedule and effectively track changes to the Trunkline and Flowline installation contracts.
• Provide support during the Subsea and pipeline design assurance review process.
• Ensure the delivery of quality engineering documents and procured materials to meet the construction schedule.
• Assist the Pipeline Installation Coordinator to ensure effective project closeout including documentation at end of construction.
• Support project wide safety initiatives including development and implementation of an Incident & Injury free (IIF) culture and Safety Management Plan(s).
• Maintain positive and effective working relationship with other upstream coordinators and project work teams, including procurement team (valves, flanges and fitting) and the SEV Team.
• The position will require the individual to visit fabrication yards and attend offshore installation activities for the structure installation. Position has 1-2 direct reports.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Recognised Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline
10 Years minimum in structure design/fabrication and management for the oil / gas industry, including both Contractor and Operator roles.
The candidate should have specific experience in managing fabrication works within Australia and SE Asia.
In depth knowledge of all aspects relating to the design and fabrication of subsea structures.
Experience in the design/fabrication of structures containing diverless connection systems and shall have an intimate knowledge of the DnV OS-F101 code.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, problem solving skills, ability to achieve milestones, ability to manage conflict and work collaboratively.
Visible demonstration of commitment to development and maintenance of a comprehensive HSE culture.
Experience in managing fabrication works within Australia and SE Asia
Formal HSE management training preferred
