The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to provide construction input and support for Define and Execute stages of the Project. Initially based in the Contractors’ Office in London and transferring to Georgia and/or Azerbaijan for project Execution.
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to :
• Overall responsibility for the successful construction and start-up support for one of the two pipeline construction packages in the Georgia and/or Azerbaijan. Includes accountability for delivering the pipeline while meeting performance targets relative to HSS, ES, Cost, Schedule, Quality, Community Relations, and Camp Operations.
• Responsible for the health, security, well-being, and morale of camp residents as related to quality of life at camp
• Manage pipeline construction execution and support contractors.
• Provide support for the Define and Execute stages of the Project
• Personal commitment to ensuring that the drive to achieve a Safe workplace is achieved through direct involvement with people and practices.
• Promote safety awareness within all areas of the Organisation.
• Actively support HSE values that have been set for the project.
• Maintain awareness and promote project goals in respect of HS&E, Budget, Schedule, and Technical Integrity
• Work with the Design group, Interface with others in the Construction groups, Start up and Commissioning, Operations and Contractors PMT to ensure project requirements are met and delivered on time.
• Work with relevant parties to ensure Contractor commitment to Project Objectives
• Participate in the development of effective interfaces between the Pipelines construction and Facilities construction, the EPMS and Pipeline Construction contractors and external stakeholders who interact with the Pipelines project activity.
• Assist with the management of the contract(s) for the Pipeline and work in harmony with all the relevant parties involved in the construction of the pipeline and also the facilities
• Participate in, and promote the ongoing development of effective relationships between all parties involved in the Project.
• Ensure that lessons learned are appropriately considered in the design and construction.
• Challenge Design change and contract growth
• Anticipate and identify adverse trends/events throughout the construction period and work with the relevant parties to avoid them or achieve timely resolution
• Actively promote Risk management process.
• Lead weekly site construction meetings

• Participate in contracting activities for the Early Works and Facilities Construction Contracts to include bidder selection, RFP Development, Bid Evaluation & Contractor Selection
• Oversee and participate in the Constructability program in the engineering office
• Participate in development of construction strategies, plans and schedules and collaborate with project services, engineering and PSCM to establish ROS dates for materials and equipment and issue dates for engineering documents.
• Oversee selected contractors in completion of detailed execution plans, site procedures, and schedules during pre-mobilization planning period. (May include temporarily relocation to construction contractor’s main office). Participate in “go – no go assessment and authorization for mobilization.
• Oversee pre-inspections of contractor’s construction equipment and camps prior to approval for mobilisation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University Degree in Engineering or Construction Management. (Alternative qualifications can be considered with relevant experience.)
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas Facility Construction involving:-
o Experience of Onshore pipelines construction.
o Familiarity with International Standards which form the basis for project specifications
o Familiarity with the Production Methods and Welding Technology as used in the Oil and Gas pipeline construction Industry and NDE methods applied to ensure quality standards are met.
o Experience of planning for a major pipeline construction project.
o Experience of risk management process for a major construction project.
o Experience of Task Risk Assessment, HAZID
• Desired, but not mandatory, experience includes:
o Experience in managing construction sites in remote, camp environment
o Experience in the Republic of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and/or Former Soviet Union
o Experience with project management systems,
