The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada. This position is based in Calgary with visits to the project site in British Columbia

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
• Develop and manage IFO (Incident Free Operations, including E-Colors program) implementation at site and in support of sustaining Contractor Performance. Work with Pipeline Leadership, Site execution Managers and site safety leads to reflect performance in IFO, MSW (Managing Safe Work programs), Audits, Loss Prevention and other appropriate HSE assurance activities to enhance Client/Contractor working relationship.

• Enhance processes and documentation development to strengthen MSW/Emergency Management visibility and how this is interfaced with Contractor requirements. Ensure interfaces between the business unit requirements are effectively delivered within owners teams and Contractor Management processes.

• Act as main focal point for H&S training guidance on Client’s expectations.

• Establish and sustain monitoring techniques that support Behavioral safety programs within Client field locations and act as the focal point for trending and continual improvements at site in support of the site Safety Leads and H&S Advisors.

• Actively support Incident Investigation reports, field audits & inspections (Owner and contractor compliance) Occasional visits to Calgary and other sites will be required.

• General support within the Pipelines HSE Team and support Operational Excellence Meetings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Health and Safety in construction & pre commissioning operations
• Emergency Management
• Behavioral Safety and leadership programmes
• Oil & Gas HSE Pipeline or production on/offshore
• Previous background in developing HSE Training programs an advantage.
• Canadian & British Columbia (preferred) Legislation and Regulations
• Working with large EPC(m)’s and Major Capital Projects.
• Communication, coaching and Presentation Skills
