Delivery Team/Function : Marine & Subsea
Work Location: Baku, Azerbaijan
Work Schedule: 6x2 Rotation

The Role:

The Pipelines Marine & Subsea Construction Representative for the Landfall Works will provide Company Representation to manage the Installation Contractor’s Vessels and personnel in completion of the offshore pipelines landfall and near-shore trenching works.

• Responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scopes
• Maintain awareness and promote project goals in respect of HSE, Budget, Schedule, and Technical Integrity
• Provide direction, motivation, support and leadership to both internal staff and external contractors.
• Responsible for ensuring the installation contractor delivers a competent organisation and a high standard of resources to successfully execute the work
• Responsible for managing contractor project execution performance and scope delivery.
• Maintain awareness and promote conformance to GPO expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the Pipelines Construction Team and the Contractors.
• Promote, demonstrate and ensure compliance with all appropriate elements of the GPO, Operating Management System (OMS), including Risk Management, continuous improvement and Management of Change.
• Maintain awareness and promote project goals in respect of HSE, Budget, Schedule, and Technical Integrity
• Promote an effective and collaborative working environment with a ‘One Team’ approach.
• Maintain close contact with the Construction Management network to ensure relevant lessons and practices are evaluated for applicability to project and implemented as appropriate.

Landfall & Near-shore Trenching Construction Management
• Manage the execution of the landfall works and near-shore trenching
• Manage vessel operations to complete the near-shore trenching works
• Assure the equipment and personnel competence to complete the construction of the landfall site
• Assure the vessel(s) capability to complete the near-shore trenching works
• Provide leadership to the successful delivery of the landfall works and the near-shore trenching
• Manage communication with the Installation Contractor’s site and vessel teams to ensure rigorous tracking of safety performance, schedule progress and SIMOPS planning.
• Manage the execution schedule for the landfall and near-shore trenching and provide support to the integrated marine schedule
• Ensure construction and site management processes are in place
• Work closely with the appropriate project teams to resolve conflicts in the overall interest of the project delivery
• Keep the pipelines M& S Construction Team Lead Project informed of the key issues within the area of responsibility.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Engineering degree and professional status accreditation with a recognised institution.
• A minimum of 10years experience of general civil construction
• Proven experience of pipeline shore approach construction works
• Proven leadership capability
• Experience with site management activities related to health, safety, and environmental issues
